This piece is a fantastic example of Ottoman metalwork . Copper craftsmanship has a deep and long history in Anatolia and the wider Ottoman Empire, where it was essential for household items.

The bowl has a cylindrical-to-flaring body with a distinct, often high, ring base (footed design). This shape is frequently associated with yogurt bowls or serving bowls from Central Anatolian regions.

 It has a cylindrical form, widening from the middle, and a high, ring base.
